Terre Haute is located in Western Indiana. The city is situated along the Wabash River and is home to Indiana State Univesity.
National Road Heritage Trail
The National Road Heritage Trail is a 6.5-mile long multi-use paved pathway that spans between Downtown Terre Haute to Chamberlain Road. The trail wraps around the campus of Indiana State University and then heads east passing through residential neighborhoods. The trail goes by the Indiana State Memorial Stadium and the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
The west end of the National Road Heritage Trail is located at the intersection of Cherry Street and N. 4th Street. The east end of the trail is located along Chamberlain Road to the south of Wabash Avenue.
