Columbus is located in Southern Indiana, 40 miles south of Indianapolis along Interstate 65.
The city has a network of recreational trails named the "Columbus People Trail". This network of trail has branches through out the urban area connecting parks, residential neighborhoods, major roadways and business districts.
Columbus People Trail
The Columbus People Trail has multi-use paths that are located away from roadways to provide a safer and more pleasant experience for trail users, though there are road crossings along the route. The trails are open for bike riding, walking and running. There are also paved side paths along some of the roadways that are open for cyclists and pedestrians as well.
