The Hines Park Trail is a 17.2-mile long paved pathway that wanders through Hines Park in the southern suburbs of the Detroit area in Southeast Michigan. The trail goes past numerous parks, golf courses and lakes and wanders through the greenbelt alongside the Middle River Rouge. the trail links several communities as well as the University of Michigan Dearborn campus.

Much of the trail follows alongside Edward N. Hines Drive as it wanders through Hines Parkway. Hines Parkway is a long park that spans several communities in Wayne County. The parkway has athletic fields, picnic facilities, nature centers, hiking trails and numerous lakes.

Conditions

The Hines Park Trail is paved for the entire route. The trail does follow alongside Edward N. Hines Parkway for much of its route and there are a number of major street crossings.

I-275 Metro Trail: the two trails meet at Edward Hines Drive and State Highway 14. The I-275 Metro Trail then heads to the east to follow alongside the interstate as far north as Interstate 96. The two trails serve as one until they split again at Interstate 275 and Edward Hines Drive near Lakeview Drive, near Newburgh Lake.

End Points

The northwest end of the Hines Park Trail is located at W. Seven Mile Road to the west of S. Main Street in Northville. This location is near the Northville Downs Racetrack and Cass Benton -Hines Park

The southeast end of the trial is located along Michigan Avenue near the Dearborn RTA Station, to the east of Brady Street in Dearborn.
