The Downriver Linked Greenways East-West Trail is a 27-mile long trail system that is located on the southern side of the Detroit Metro area. The Downriver Linked Greenways is a series of parks that are located along the Huron River from Belleville to Highway 24 in Flat Rock. The trail meanders through these parks and then heads east through Flat Rock towards the marshlands and waterfront of the mouth of the Detroit River on Brownstone Charter Township.

The Downriver Linked Greenways Initiative is a community driven regional effort to coordinate non-motorized transportation Downriver. The initiative represents 21 communities working together to create a trail system throughout the southern portion of Southeast Michigan.

Conditions

The Downriver Linked Greenways East-West Trail is paved for the entire route. The trail is open for bike riding, running and walking.
