The Piney Creek Trail is a 10-mile long paved trail system located in Centennial and Aurora, Colorado. The trail spans between Cherry Creek State Park and a residential neighborhood to the north of Inspiration Drive and west of N Piney Lake Road. On its noerthwest end, the Piney Creek Trail intersects the Cherry Creek Trail at the south end of Cherry Creek State Park. The trail then heads east winding through the residential and commercial areas of Aurora and Centennial.

The Piney Creek Trail travels through the natural areas along the creek and goes past Saddle Rock Golf Course and Red Tailed Hawk Park. It also connects to several neighborhood recreational trails along the way.

Conditions

The Piney Creek Trail is paved for the entire route. The trail is open for bike riding, walking and running. Most of the route is away from major roadways and there are relatively few street crossings.

Cherry Creek Trail: the two trails intersect at the south end of Cherry Creek State Park to the west of S. Parker Road and north of E. Arapahoe Road.

Samson Gulch Trail: the two trails meet at Red Tailed Hawk Park to the west of S. Aurora Parkway.

End Points

The west end of the Piney Creek Trail is located at the south end of Cherry Creek State Park to the west of S. Parker Road and north of E. Arapahoe Road.

The southeast end of the trail is located at E. Piccolo Drive in a neighborhood off of E. Rockinghorse Parkway.
