Oxnard, Ventura and Camarillo, California
Oxnard, Ventura and Camarillo are located in the coastal area of Southern California. These cities are situated about halfway between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara and just west of Simi Valley. The area is a wide valley where the Sana Clara River goes out to the Pacific Ocean.
There are a number bike paths / pedestrian paths in the Ventura and Oxnard area. The longest trail system is the Ventura River Trail and Ojai Valley Trail which head up the valley into the hills north of Ventura. Other trails follow the coastline or travel through the residential neighborhoods.

Oxnard Beach Trail
The Oxnard Beach Trail is located along the shoreline between Oxnard Beach Park and the entrance to the harbor in the Channel Island Beach area. The paved pathway offers pretty views out to the Channel Islands and of the beach and the marinas in Channel Island Harbor.
Ventura Trails
The City of Ventura has a number of paved pathways located about town that connect local parks, schools and other points of interest.
There are also pathways located north of town along the coastline that stretch from San Buenaventura State Beach, past the Ventura County Fairgrounds, Surfers Point Park, Promenade Park, Emma Wood State Beach and Seaside Wilderness Park and then up alongside Highway 101. These trails provide access to the beaches and to the local hiking trails and offer pretty views of the coastline and the rugged hillsides above the highway. You can also connect to the Ventura River Trail from these trails.
Ventura River Trail and Ojai Valley Trail
These two paved pathways extend from Downtown Ventura to the small community of Ojai. The trails travel up the Ojai Valley going past the communities of Casitas Springs, Oak View and Mira Monte.
