The MoPac Trail West is a 5.5-mile long paved pathway that is located on the east side of Lincoln in Southeastern Nebraska. The trail was constructed along an abandoned railroad right-of-way and spans between the campus of the University of Nebraska Lincoln to S 84th Street. At its eastern end, the MoPac Trail West meets up with the 21.6-mile long unpaved MoPac Trail East that extends out into the farmland to the east of Lincoln.
The MoPac Trail West goes past local parks and through residential neighborhoods and commercial areas.
Conditions
The MoPac Trail West is paved for the entire route. The trail is open for bike riding, running and walking. There are a number of street crossings along the route.

Antelope Valley Parkway Trail & Rock Island Trail: these two trails are located at the western end of the MoPac Trail West in the center of Lincoln. The Antelope Valley Parkway Trail heads to the northwest and connects to the Salt Creek Levee Trail. The Rock Island Trail heads to the south.
John Dietrich Bike Trail: this trail is located 0.5 miles to the northeast of the west end of the MoPac Trail West in the center of Lincoln.
MoPac Trail East: the two trails meet at the eastern end of the MoPac Trail West at S 84th Street and N. Hazelwood Drive in Lincoln.
End Points
The east end of the MoPac Trail West is located at N. 24th Street and W Street in the center of Lincoln.
The west end of the MoPac Trail West is located at Vine Street and N. Antelope Valley Parkway in Downtown Lincoln.
