Kingsport Greenbelt

The city has a recreational trail system called the Kingsport Greenbelt that spans for over 5 miles. The trail follows Reddy Creek and goes past a number of local parks and connects communities and commercial areas. The pathway is open for bike riding and walking and provides a wonderful way to get some exercise and enjoy the natural areas along the creek.

Most of the trail is located away from roadways and there are underpasses for many of the street crossings.

The Kingsport Greenbelt travels past the following points of interest:

 Riverfront Park
Domtar Park
Scott Adams Memorial Skate Park
Cloud Park
Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kingsport

The west end of the Kingsport Greenbelt is located at Riverwoods Place off of Netherland Inn Road where the North Fork Holston River flows into the South Fork Holston River. There is a gap in the trail system around W. Sullivan Road where trail users will need to use local streets to reach the next section. The eastern end of the trail is located along Orebank Road to the east of Mitchell Road.
