Prior Lake is located in the southwestern protion of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area.

Scott West Regional Trail

When complete, the Scott West Regional Trail will start at Cleary Lake Regional Park in Prior Lake, travel north through Shakopee and connect to the Minnesota River Bluffs Regional Trail to the east of Chaska. Several separate sections of the trail have been completed.

A 5-mile long stretch of the Scott West Regional Trail are complete in Prior Lake. The paved trail exists from Cleary Lake Regional Park to Marschall Road. The trail follows alongside Eagle Creek Avenue then turns west at 154th Street NW and continues on Howard Lake Road. Other completed sections exist in Shakopee.

Cleary Lake Regional Park Trail

Cleary Lake Regional Park is located to the south of Eagle Creek Avenue on the east side of the community of Prior Lake.  Within the park, there is a 3.4-mile long paved pathway that meaders through the woods and wetlands adjacent to the lake. The park also has picnic areas and a golf course.

Spring Lake Regional Park Trail

Spring Lake Regional Park is a 374-acre area located to the south of 154th Street NW in Prior Lake. The park has a 3-mile long paved pathway system that wanders through woods away from roadways and congestion. The trails lead to residential neighborhoods that surround the park, Spring Lake Road and up to 154th Street NW.

Lakefront Park Trails

Lakefront Park is located just northwest of Langford Boulevard. The park has over 2 miles of paved pathways, parking, restrooms, athletic fields and a beach on Lower Prior Lake.
