Sioux Falls is the largest city in the State of South Dakota. It is located along the Big Sioux River on the far eastern side of the state, not far from the border with Iowa and Minnesota.
Sioux Falls Bike Trail
Sioux Falls has a 26-mile long network of paved recreational trails for bike riding, walking, running and commuting to work or school. The trails make a large loop that crosses through the downtown area, extends north of the airport, passes several schools and business districts and connects multiple local parks.
Big Sioux Recreation Area Trail System
The Big Sioux Recreation Area is situated to the east of Sioux Falls and just west of the City of Brandon. There is a 1.5-mile long paved bike path in the park and many other hiking trails.
Arrowhead Park and Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum
Arrowhead Park is located along Highway 42, southeast of Sioux Falls across the road from the Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum. There are several paved and unpaved recreational trails in these parks.
