Regional Trails

The Pat McGee Trail is a 12.2-mile long unpaved trail that is located in Southwestern New York State. The trail was constructed along an abandoned railroad bed and goes through a very rural park to the state, through thick woodlands, past wetlands and over several bridges. There is a good chance of seeing wildlife along the trail.

Conditions

The Pat McGee Trail is open for non-motorized use such as bike riding and walking. The surface of the trail is that of compacted aggregate over the railroad bed with a couple of short paved stretches.

Communities

The Pat McGee Trail is located near the following communities: Cattaraugus, Little Valley and Salamanca. The trial goes right past Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds.

End Points

The north end of the Pat McGee Trail is located half way between Cattaraugus and New Albion on Leon Road, a quarter mile south of Cattaraugus Little Valley. There is a small trailhead with a few parking spots at this location.

The south end is located along Center Street Exd. to the north of Salamanca.
