The MoPac Trail East is a 21.7-mile long unpaved pathway that spans between S. 84th Street in Lincoln to the community of Wabash in Southeastern Nebraska. The trail has a surface of crushed limestone and was constructed along an abandoned railroad right-of-way and travels through wide open farmland and past several rural communities.

On the east side of Lincoln, the MoPac Trail East connects to the 5-mile long paved MoPac Trail West that then heads into the center of Lincoln. There is also a multi-use recreational trail that follows alongside 84th Street.

Conditions

The MoPac Trail East has a wide graded surface of crushed limestone. The trail is open for bike riding, running ans walking. Most of the tail is located away from major roadways with a road crossing about every mile.

MoPac Trail West: the two trails meet at S. 84th Street and N. Hazelwood Avenue in Lincoln. There is also a multi-use path that travels alongside 84th Street.

End Points

The west end of the MoPac Trail East is located along S. 94th Street near the intersection of N. Hazelwood Drive in Lincoln. The Norvatis Trailhead is at this location and has a large parking lot.

The east end of the trail is located along 322nd Street to the south of Alvo Road in Wabash, a 7 mile drive west of the community of Weeping Water.
