Bozeman is located in the south-central portion ofthe State of Montana. It is placed just north of Yellowstone National Park and is the home of Montana State University. Recreational opportunities abound with lots of places to hike, fish, mountain bike, camp, skiing at Bridger Bowl Ski Area, cross country skiing and many other types of outdoor activities.

Though Bozeman is a small city of 37,280 people, it has a number of walking paths for taking in some exercise and getting about town. Most of the trails are not paved and are located in residential neighborhoods connecting parks and open spaces.
