Grant's Trail is an 8-mile long paved path located on the south side of St. Louis. The trail extends from the intersection of S. Holmes Avenue and Leffingwell Avenue to a point to the northeast of Mt. Olive Road in the Crestwood, Grantwood Village and Afton neighborhoods. The trail travels through the greenbelt of Gravois Creek and passes a number of parks along the way. The route of the trail takes it past residential and commercial areas and it crosses several major roadways at street level.

Among other attractions along the trail, Grant's Trail goes right by Grant's Farm, the 281-acres historic farm with rides, exhibits, farm animals and other exotic animals and an overhead tram. The farm also contains a cabin called "Hardscrabble," which was built by Ulysses S. Grant.

Conditions

Grant's Trail is paved for it entire route. The trail is open for bike riding, walking and running. Most of the trail is located away from busy roadways, but there are a number of street crossings.

The west end of Grant's Trail is located at the intersection of S. Holmes Avenue and Leffingwell Avenue, a point just north of Interstate 44. 

Grant's Trail ends at a point 1/3 of a mile northeast of Mt. Olive Road.
