The South Lake Trail is a 15.2-mile long paved pathway that extends between Groveland and Clermont in Central Florida, to the west of Orlando. The trail wraps around the south end of Lake Minneola and then connects to the West Orange Trail on the south side of Lake Apopka. The route offers beautiful views of the lakes with their boats and shorelines.

Conditions

The South Lake Trail is paved for its entire route and is open for bike riding, walking and running. The trail does cross a number of streets along the route.

West Orange Trail: The east end of the South Lake Trail meets the west end of the West Orange Trail at Killarney Station on the south end of Apopka Lake.

End Points

The west end of the South Lake Trail is located along county Road 565A at Silver Eagle Road in Groveland.

The east end of the trail is located at Killarney Station at Old Highway 50E and Lake Boulevard in Oakland. There is parking and a restroom at this location.
