Eastern Canal Trail

The Eastern Canal Trail is a 15.5-mile long paved and unpaved pathway located along the Eastern Canal in the cities of Mesa, Gilbert and Chandler in the southeast portion of the Phoenix urban area.

At its north end, the Eastern Canal Trail connects to the South Canal Trail. The Eastern Canal Trail connect to the Western Canal Trail at the south side of The Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch, between E. Guadalupe Road and S. Elliot Road.

The Eastern Canal Trail goes by the following points of interest: Sheepherders Park, Mountainview High School, Kensington Groves Park, Mountain View Park, Ryan's Field, Highland Elementary School, Los Alamos Park, Greenfield Park, Holmes Park, The Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch, Greenfield Jr. High School, Greenfield Lakes Golf Course, Crossroads Park, Gilbert Rodeo Park and Zanjero Park.

The north end of the Eastern Canal Trail is located at E. McDowell Road east of N. Gilbert Road. Trail users can continue on the South Canal Trail at this location.

The south end of the Eastern Canal Trail is located at East Riggs Road, just west of S. Gilbert Road.
